Have you ever wondered where we get our pop bottles or our margarine containers? Well it is from a product called HDPE Scrap, which is short for High Density Polyethylene. It comes in many different shapes, sizes and colors. It is very easy to recycle therefore it is sought after by a lot of manufacturers.
It is commonly called Regrind HDPE
and what is it do you ask? It comes from different sorces such as bottles , pipes, and pallets. The only thing they do not use recycled HDPE for is food products as it is not safe. You can get HDPE in mixed and sorted varieties and I think this is a wonderful way of recycling because it is thoroughly cleaned before manufacturers buy it and it is safe to use.
